The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has today announced changes to its executive leadership team.

The reshaped team brings together a blend of new and existing leaders, ensuring that the membership body can continue to respond to the needs of charities and voluntary organisations, while also working towards the launch of a new strategy in Spring 2026.

Kate Lee, Chief Executive Officer, said:

“Over the next six months, we have the opportunity to transform our organisation, develop our next strategy, and continue to support civil society to achieve its goals. It’s important we have the right people to help us realise our big ambitions for NCVO, and its members, during that time. Our refreshed executive team combines continuity and fresh perspective, giving us the talent we need to strengthen our services, deepen our relationships and prepare for the next stage of this vital charity’s history.”

The refreshed executive team includes (pictured above, left to right):

  • Leigh Brimicombe – Chief Influencing Officer, overseeing the organisation’s brand communications, membership services, policy and public affairs programmes.
  • Kate Morris – Chief Finance Officer, responsible for ensuring a fiscally secure organisation, underpinned by strong governance.
  • Saskia Konynenburg – Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing NCVO’s evolving training, consultancy, fundraising, corporate partnerships and sector support offer.
  • Kate Lee – Chief Executive Officer, who joined the organisation in September 2025.
  • Adrian Stones – Chief People Officer, a new role that will ensure the organisation’s workforce and culture helps supports the delivery of its current and new strategy.
  • Nick Gibson - Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for organisational strategy, business planning, technology systems and data & insight.

After 17 years at the organisation, Andrew Walkey, Director of Services and Partnerships, has decided to move on, leaving the organisation in early November.
