Members came together to reflect on the past year, welcome our new treasurer and chief executive, and look ahead to the future of our work.
Members voted to re-elect Georgina Carr for a second three-year term on the board. Georgina, chief executive of the Neurological Alliance, brings wide experience from across health and disability charities.
We also confirmed Philippe Lintern as our new treasurer. Philippe has extensive experience in finance and governance across both charity and corporate sectors.
His expertise will help ensure our continued financial resilience as we support voluntary organisations through change.
The meeting opened with reflections from Dr Priya Singh, chair of our board. She thanked members for their continued trust and engagement. She noted the board’s focus on governance, stability and readiness for the next phase of our work.
Philippe Lintern provided the financial overview with a focus on resilience and transparency, reaffirming our long-term commitment to stability and member value.
Saskia Konynenburg, executive director, looked back on a year defined by collaboration and impact. She shared how we have supported smaller organisations, championed volunteering and built influence across the sector.
In her first address to members, Kate Lee OBE set out her vision for a stronger, more connected and more confident voluntary sector.
She spoke about the importance of working in partnership, amplifying charities’ voices, and giving charities the tools they need to adapt and thrive.
This year’s AGM marked an important moment of continuity and renewal.
As we welcome new leadership and reflect on the progress of the past year, our focus remains clear – to support, strengthen and champion the voluntary sector so it can thrive in the years ahead.
