Jo specialises in research and evaluation, with a focus on volunteering
Jo has 20 years of experience in research and evaluation in the voluntary sector. For over a decade she worked as a senior researcher with the Institute for Volunteering Research, undertaking research with a wide range of organisations and groups. She led the Institute’s programme of work on volunteering impact, supporting organisations to assess and demonstrate the impacts of volunteering.
Jo is experienced in a range of research methods and techniques, including surveys, interviews, focus groups and workshops. She is passionate about producing useful and accessible research which can be used to inform the development of volunteering in organisations. Jo can help you to review your volunteering programme and assess the difference volunteering makes.
Through research and evaluation, Jo has helped many organisations to collect, analyse and use data and evidence on volunteering, as well as build their research and evaluation capacity.
