Ceri Davies

Associate Consultant

Ceri has more than 30 years’ experience in the third sector, gained in the youth and students’ union sectors. He has expertise in organisations with a democratic governance element and strong service user participation in decision making.

Ceri started his career in the YMCA Movement, leading a variety of youth, children’s and accommodation services in local YMCA centres. He then became the YMCA’s National Programme Director, where he led a team of professional advisers supporting local YMCAs in areas such as youth work, children’s work, supporting young offenders and sport, health, exercise and fitness. He is a nationally qualified youth and community worker.

Ceri’s work now focuses on governance, including governance reviews and governance training. He has also undertaken several interim leadership roles, which have focussed on re-establishing sound stakeholder relationships, creating a strategic focus and redesigning senior teams.

In both his YMCA and students’ union roles he has gained experience of working within complex federated structures and addressing asymmetrical stakeholder relationships.
