What is it?

A way of making sure people who come to your website, facebook group or other online location can easily see how to donate money to you.

Good reasons to try donation buttons

  • You have a website that is designed to raise awareness and expect lots of people interested in your cause to visit it
  • You are using a platform that gives you a simple process for donating online and a donation button widget that you can add to other things

Key advice

  • If you use a donate button people will expect to be able to give money online. They won’t want to fill in a paper form or phone up after pressing it.
  • You need to think about where you put these buttons. Are the people who visit the site people who will donate or people you are trying to help?
