Valeska Matziol

Associate Consultant

Valeska specialises in inclusive evaluation, project management and training. She can help you identify and evidence the impact of your work.

Valeska joined NCVO as an associate in 2015. She has 15 years of experience in service user involvement, and community research, engagement and development. She can help at every step of your evaluation and learning journey.

Valeska previously managed community-based social change projects for a number of equalities organisations in Greater Manchester. She uses her expertise in accessibility and inclusion to create equitable approaches to project design and evaluation. This helps her clients reach more diverse stakeholders and uncover a wider range of needs and experiences.

Valeska supports charities and funders with ongoing learning and improvement. She delivers open access and bespoke training and works with organisations one to one. She supports clients to get more out of their project management, monitoring and evaluation so they can maximise their impact.

  • Mind in Greater Manchester: Evaluating a DHSC-funded programme to improve outcomes for people experiencing symptoms of the menopause in the workplace.
  • LGBT Foundation: Evaluating the Pride in Practice and the Women’s programmes.
  • Quakers in Britain: Contributing qualitative field work to the evaluations of the Vibrancy in Meetings and the Youth Work pilot programmes.
  • Macmillan Cancer Support: Providing training to Macmillan professionals on outcome measurement, and data collection and analysis.
  • Lloyds Bank Foundation: Capacity building work with grantees through the Enhance programme. Grantees included Arty Folks, Steps to Freedom, Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid, Tom Harrison House and Young Women’s Housing Project.
