Laura Elson

Laura specialises in volunteering strategy. She can help your organisation build a volunteering movement in challenging contexts.

Laura has nearly 20 years of experience working in volunteer engagement. This includes strategic roles within organisations.

She has supported dozens of national charities and sporting bodies to rethink their approach to volunteer involvement. She also teaches a volunteer strategy course for the Association of Volunteer Managers.

Laura is a skilled researcher. She’s experienced in delivering quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. She regularly works with volunteer managers and volunteers to provide an evidence-based approach to change.

Laura is also an expert in fundraising from trusts and foundations, particularly for volunteer programmes and campaigns. She’s a specialist in trustee recruitment and holds a master’s degree from the Centre for Charity Effectiveness.

Laura is a trustee at Getting on Board, Bramley Elderly Action, and Yorkshire Netball.
