Shehnaaz specialises in impact practice and theory of change. She can help grow your monitoring and evaluation skills, knowledge and confidence.

Shehnaaz has 20 years of experience working with staff and volunteers in a variety of charities, community groups and funding organisations. She can help you develop a cycle of good impact practice through a collaborative approach.

Shehnaaz is passionate about co-creation. She’s inclusive in her approach, ensuring her work fits within your organisation’s culture and values. She’s been praised for being ‘the magic ingredient’ in the training she delivers and the consultancy she provides.

Shehnaaz prides herself on giving clear guidance. Even though the process may ‘get messy’ at times, she makes sure there is always clarity by the end.

Areas of expertise

  • Supporting organisations to build a theory of change (ToC) visual map and narrative.
  • Helping organisations to build a suitable monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to assess their outcomes and activities.
  • Facilitating workshops to build organisational capability through all the stages of impact practice.
  • Carrying out interviews, focus groups and questionnaire-based surveys to gather outcome data to feed into independent evaluations.
  • Being a learning and evaluation partner, especially to funders, directors and chief executives of charities wanting to implement impact practice.
  • Ongoing support and consultancy to smaller charities and community groups to co-create their own outcome and impact reports with their beneficiaries.
  • Delivering training sessions for M&E officers, grant managers and staff for their own professional development.

  • BBC Children in Need: Your Difference training for grant recipients, training and support for grant managers, and learning and evaluation partner for Sharing Power/We Move funds.
  • Charity Evaluation Working Group (ChEW) Emerging Evaluators programme: Delivery of online workshops for new evaluators.
  • The Coop Foundation: Consultation for and co-creation of their theory of change map (using Miro) and narrative.
  • Moving on Up: Evaluating a collective impact approach for a programme aimed at improving employment outcomes for young Black men, funded by the Trust for London.
  • YGAM evaluation: Independent evaluation of their University Student Engagement programme.
