Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of high-impact business intelligence solutions, turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making.

As a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll take ownership of the full analytics lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, high-quality data products while leading and developing a team of analysts.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how data is used across the organisation—combining technical expertise, leadership and strong business acumen to deliver trusted, insight-driven outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of business intelligence solutions, from requirements gathering through to insight generation.
  • Translate complex business needs into robust technical specifications and scalable data models.
  • Build and maintain high-quality, analytics-ready datasets while ensuring strong data governance.
  • Mentor and lead a team of analysts, driving best practice and high performance.

Your background

You’ll bring a strong track record in delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, along with deep expertise in data modelling, data management, and modern BI tools.

You’ll have experience leading teams and projects, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

A strong analytical mindset, combined with excellent communication and data storytelling skills, will be key to success in this role.

About the team

The Data and Strategic Intelligence team sits within our Transformation directorate.

The team transforms complex data into clear, actionable insight, delivering scalable BI products that support strategic priorities.

Working across the full analytics lifecycle, from data discovery and modelling to insight delivery, the team ensures data is trusted, well-governed, and drives measurable organisational impact.
