It also explores how the updated Charity Governance Code will inform good governance going forward.

Our report found three main trends:

• Organisations showed steady improvement in governance practice, with integrity and decision-making being the highest-rated areas.
• Staff were consistently less positive than trustees in their outlook on governance.
• Inclusion remained the greatest challenge, highlighting the need for inclusive recruitment and retention strategies.
