Emily Agius

Vice Chair

Emily is head of insight and strategy at Breast Cancer Now. Her role focuses on transforming how insights are used to improve the outcomes of people affected by breast cancer.

She was previously the charity's head of volunteering and a services manager for six years. During this time she led the organisation’s volunteering strategy and implementation, and increased engagement in services.

Before joining Breast Cancer Now, Emily headed up membership engagement activities at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union. This included democracy, policy, campaigns, 350 student groups and a diverse range of event programmes.

Emily is a passionate advocate for the sector. Her volunteering roles have included being a trustee for the historic Croft House Community Centre, establishing a local Results UK branch, and being a pastoral leader for an International Citizenship programme.

Emily feels privileged to be a part of the NCVO trustee board. She firmly believes in the importance of collaborative impact within the sector to make the biggest difference to the people who need it.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys music, reading and walks in the Peak District.

Emily also chairs our governance and nominations committee.
