This important role sits at the heart of NCVO’s public policy and volunteering department. You lead the ongoing volunteer development and delivery of our strategy, influencing the public policy environment around volunteering, making it easier for people to get involved. You lead the development of high quality good practice materials on volunteering, helping organisations to create a better volunteering experience that makes a bigger difference.

Working with the director of public policy and volunteering, you champion volunteering and volunteer management to the full range of stakeholders and lead the delivery of Volunteers’ Week.

With solid knowledge and experience of the key issues facing volunteer-involving organisations, you bring practical experience of volunteer management and of issues facing volunteering. You have the skills to lead and manage people and resources, and to contribute to the development of NCVO more widely.
