Is there a deficit of the professional skills needed to effectively lead organisations and provide the required scrutiny to senior management?

The panel will consider this and discuss if we can define ‘professional’ in the context of the board.

We will help you reflect on the importance of achieving the right a mix of skills, experience and diversity of trustees. Looking beyond the importance of a skills audit, speakers will also consider the evolving relationship between the executives and the board, drawing on their experience to unpick some of the challenges associated with recruiting and retaining trustees with the right skills and values form a broader range of backgrounds.
