NCVO National Volunteering Forum - January 2019

Time well spent: NCVO volunteer experience research and what this means

In a world of fake news and post-truth arguments, it can be difficult to keep volunteer management evidence-based and effective. Well, no more. Facts are facts and we want to kick off the year by discussing the latest evidence in volunteer management and launch NCVO’s research report. Join us to discuss what 10,000 people across Great Britain have to say about their volunteer experience.

Date 25 January 2019
Time 09.30–16.00

The National Volunteering Forum (NVF) brings together volunteer-involving organisations and volunteer infrastructure bodies from around England to discuss issues of shared concern, feed into NCVO’s policy positions and to network. We run three events every year including at least one outside of London.

Join us and a panel of experts at the next National Volunteering Forum to:

  • be the first to see the research findings
  • discuss the links between age, diversity and volunteering
  • explore what satisfaction, connectedness and enjoyment means to volunteers
  • consider how public services and employers can support volunteering
  • think about the formalisation of volunteering and how it can impact on the volunteer experience.

Who should attend?

Volunteer-involving organisations and volunteer infrastructure bodies from around England.

Who runs it?

The volunteering development unit within NCVO.

Pricing

  • NCVO members: Free
  • Non-members: £40

The forum is free to NCVO members but there is a small charge for non-members to help cover costs.

We would like to give an opportunity for the maximum number of organisations to benefit from this NVF and therefore there is a limit of 2 free member tickets per organisation.

These events are very popular so please let us know if you are unable to attend. Members and non-members will be charged the full non-member fee unless you let us know seven days before the event.
