Managing adult and child safeguarding in your organisation

Safeguarding means the range of measures we have in place to protect people in our organisation, or those we come into contact with, from abuse and maltreatment of any kind. This means we have to think about safeguarding in everything we do: including policy and procedure writing, roles and responsibilities, safer recruitment, concerns and complaints management, ethical fundraising, quality assurance and safeguarding risk assessments of all our activities. We also have to ensure that beneficiaries, staff and volunteers feel confident and able to raise any concerns or complaints appropriately.
