Volunteering and the law
What is your legal position as an organisation that involves volunteers? This course will enable you to understand volunteering and the law in relation to issues such as safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, equality and diversity, insurance, and benefits.

Who should attend?
Anyone currently working with volunteers or wishing to develop a volunteer-led programme. The content for this course applies to voluntary and non-voluntary settings and will be relevant to supporting volunteers across all sectors.
Who runs it?
Mark Restall is an experienced trainer and consultant on volunteer management and advising on volunteering and the law. He has also worked at national and local level in volunteering organisations and was previously Head of Information at Volunteering England. Mark has written and developed a vast range of tools and guidance for volunteer managers, including the popular Volunteers and the Law. Mark has provided expert advice to a large range of volunteer-involving organisations, from household name charities to small community groups, in diverse settings such as charity shops, museums and sports networks.
