Charity Trustees: Induction and refresher training
If you are interested in what makes a good working relationship between trustees and staff then NCVO's trustee training course is ideal for you.
|Date||28 April 2017|
|Time||09.30 - 16.30|
|Location||NCVO Conference Suite, London N1|
This course is now fully booked. The next course will be run on 30 June 2017.
This course draws on NCVO's cutting-edge thinking that has been developed from our governance work with a range of charities over many years, to ensure that your trustees and staff relationships go from strength to strength. This course aims to help trustees make an effective contribution to the governance of their organisation.
By the end of the course you will:
- understand what governance and trusteeship are
- know who the trustees are and what they do
- understand the personal liabilities of trustees and the protection available
- be able to identify good governance
- have examined the people dynamic. What makes a good trustee? How a board works as a team?
- have considered delegation and building an effective relationship between the board and chief executive.
Who should attend?
Those new to governance and trusteeship. This course could also form part of an induction for a new trustee, or a refresher session for existing trustees and senior staff.
