Volunteering and coronavirus: How you can help

Nominations for NCVO’s trustee board

We need our members to identify outstanding individuals to join our board to help NCVO transform the way we work and make the biggest difference we can.

NCVO supports volunteering and charities. We believe that the work of volunteers and charities make our communities stronger and the world around us better, for everyone.

Our members are at the heart of our mission. We work collaboratively with our 16,500+ strong network of national and local charities and voluntary organisations. Member involvement in our work starts with our board of trustees, which includes member-elected trustees.

Who we are looking for

Good governance is a crucial factor to create effective, impactful organisations. As part of our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, NCVO wants to strengthen the board to better reflect the diversity of our society. We will do this by seeking to elect trustees who bring different backgrounds, perspectives and lived experience, as well as a range of skills.

This year we have two trustee board vacancies coming up. One trustee is retiring at the end of their second term and one trustee is standing for re-election. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience of volunteering leadership and management and from marginalised communities, who are currently underrepresented on our board.

Nominations have now closed.
