Andrew Walkey, Membership and marketing Manager

Andrew leads on NCVO’s Membership and Enterprise activity. He joined NCVO in 2008 and is particularly interested in the development of cross sectoral relationships for the benefit of civil society. He leads our growing membership of over 14,500 members and is keen to develop partnerships with fellow membership bodies to help the voluntary sector thrive.

He has:

  • built strong partnerships with Mind, ACRE, NUS, FSI and Rotary to name but a few
  • developed a number of strategic business partnerships
  • built a comprehensive and strong package for NCVO’s members
  • been interested in helping voluntary sector organisations get the right level of appropriate support. It’s not always about best practice, often it’s about understanding what people need to make sure they are compliant.

    Myles Kunzli, Capacity-building programmes manager

    Myles manages NCVO’s capacity building and support services to strengthen charity governance and management. He was previously an NCVO governance consultant.

    Myles has spent most of his career in the UK and Australian voluntary sectors. He is a former chief executive of both a local law centre and the Community Legal Centres Association of Western Australia. Myles is also an experienced trustee and chair of various frontline organisations and umbrella bodies in the legal aid, human rights and health sub-sectors. He has a keen interest in civil society as a feedback loop to government, the private sector and other institutions.

    Naila Jhetam, Training assistant 

    Naila's role covers:

    • charity media relations, particularly reputation management and crisis communications
    • providing training administration and project support to the Training Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive package of training and development courses
    • acting as first point of contact for all open training and in-house enquiries
    • communicating information to training delegates and consultants
    • managing delegate information, invoice payments and expense claims in CRM.

    Her projects and key areas of professional interest are:

    • new platform for booking NCVO training
    • managing NCVO in-house training
    • training needs analysis
    • training programme co-ordination.

    Clare Aarons,Training manager

    Clare is the Training manager at NCVO responsible for managing all of NCVO training courses. These aim to strengthen organisations in the sector to increase their effectiveness and have greater social impact.

    She has worked at NCVO for over six years and in the sector for over fifteen years.

    Clare is a qualified trainer and moderator and has extensive experience of facilitating events and designing and delivering a range of accredited and non-accredited training and blended learning solutions.
