Marketing team

Gavin Finch, Head of marketing

As the marketing lead, Gavin coordinate the team’s activity, working with product and service areas to define product marketing plans, and establishing strategic marketing priorities and activity plans at an organisational level. The team also has a responsibility for managing and optimising our ‘owned’ media channels, including social media and email, and expanding our reach and channel mix through the development of new channels and approaches. The team coordinates the delivery of integrated campaign activity.

Gavin has:

  • experience working for infrastructure and membership bodies (specifically sport National Governing Bodies), Retail and Telco sectors
  • skills in brand marketing, customer acquisition, customer experience and digital marketing
  • interest in maximising organisation impact through improvements in marketing infrastructure, resource and process.

Matt Gilfeather, Marketing communications manager

Matt is responsible for NCVO’s channel strategy, overseeing delivery across:

Rupa Kotecha-Smith, Marketing planning manager

Rupa manages the annual and strategic planning process with the head of marketing, marketing team and product service colleagues. She is responsible for identifying organisation and marketing priorities and develop and implement actionable marketing plans to support those priorities. Rupa is leading the process for setting up and managing the reporting of marketing and KPI’s and will coordinate audience insight and research from across the organisation to support the development of marketing campaigns. Rupa is also the product and service area marketing lead for the Excellence and Volunteering development team and manage their day to day marketing requirements.

Rupa works on:

  • annual planning, part of CAM working group
  • management of annual marketing activity schedule
  • development of marketing KPI’s and reporting
  • coordination of audience research and insight
  • marketing promotional planning for certain product areas.

Kat Crafer, Marketing campaign manager

Kat ensures that all our campaigns activity is coordinated and that we effectively utilise resources available across all channels, in order to maximise the impact of NCVO’s products and services and support within the sector.

Sarah Hansen, Marketing executive

Sarah project manages the marketing activities for Annual Conference, Trustee Conference and NCVO's training portfolio. She also works with Matt, Marketing Communications Manager, on digital performance marketing.

Callum Bergin, Email marketing executive

Callum plays a fundamental role in NCVO’s central marketing function by supporting our activities through targeted email campaigns and managing customer journeys through our email CRM programmes. Callum joined NCVO from the Institute of Fundraising doing a similar role during where he won two email marketing awards. He also has experience of working for a small charity previously and has a great passion for the sector.

Yousouf Alouat, Marketing Executive 

Yousouf supports the marketing planning and implementation for NCVO’s membership and trusted suppliers. Working closely with digital, and communications and product colleagues, Yousouf’s role is to develop marketing plans, implement and evaluate campaigns in support of NCVO’s strategic goals and income targets. Yousouf is CIM qualified and has completed the Professional Diploma in Marketing qualification. He has worked in various educational charities including the Teacher Development Trust and I CAN Charity.

Yousouf is responsible for:

  • Managing the end-to-end campaign cycles and day-to-day product marketing support
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating the marketing and campaigns plans
  • Working closely with marketing communication colleagues to schedule campaign activity across NCVO’s communications channels.
