Joe has worked in the voluntary sector for 20 years, with 10 years in senior leadership roles. He has experience in service delivery, development and strategy. This includes running a £50m funding programme for the UK’s largest community funder.
Joe specialises in equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and anti-racist practice. He helped set up the Baobab Foundation. The Baobab Foundation is the UK’s first funder entirely focussed on supporting Black and racially minoritized individuals, groups and organisations.
Joe has sat on ministerial advisory groups and given evidence to select committees. He regularly contributes to radio and TV broadcasts on issues including mental health, suicide prevention, charity finances and trends in civil society.
