Supporting children affected by domestic abuse in their family

Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services supports people affected by domestic abuse in Northumberland and is the only organisation in the county to provide specialist support and counselling for children affected by domestic abuse.

The CADAN (Children Against Domestic Abuse in Northumberland) project works in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to provide training, group support and awareness raising activities.

NDAS also offers a free confidential service for all women and men experiencing domestic abuse or violence, providing emotional support, practical advice and information and signposting to a wide range of specialist local services and services to men, boys and members of the LGBTQI+ community.

NDAS supports hundreds of people each year including those in hard to reach rural communities, and has long standing relationships with other services and organisations across NorthumberlandIt relies entirely on donations and funding from large donors.
