Tackling racism and radicalisation

Media Cultured is an ‘education and training’ CIC (community interest company) that delivers positive messages on the diverse nature of Britain using film and social media.

Based in Middlesborough, it works with schools, colleges, universities, football clubs, prisons, call centres, factories, outreach practitioners, police and places of worship. Through its workshops, Media Cultured aims to tackle issues of racism, radicalisation and misrepresentation through the use of positive role models and clear messages about  ‘identity and integration’. It says it can improve understanding, attitudes and behaviours around immigration and integration, disrupt "pathways to extremism" and improve community cohesion.
