Making it easier for people to walk - for better health & a healthier environment

Living Streets is a national charity for everyday walking. It encourages and helps people to walk more. It works with schools, community groups and councils to help improve local infrastructure to make it easier for people to walk .

It provides educational materials to encourage more people to walk for health and environmental benefits. It runs a variety of initiatives with schools, including its Walk Once A Week scheme, universities, workplaces and older people. It also works with communities in Scotland to reduce speed limits and has been helping tackle vehicle idling in the City of London to tackle air pollution.
