Rehousing women released from prison with their children to reduce reoffending

Housing for Women empowers vulnerable women by providing affordable housing and security to rebuild their lives. It’s running ReUnite, a special project that’s helping mums released from prison find homes, so they can live with their children again.

ReUnite provides support to women who wish to be reunited with their children upon their release from prison. They work with prison resettlement teams and probation services to support women up to 3 months prior to release and up to 12 months following their release from custody.  Re-offending (within 12 months) rate of women involved in ReUnite is less than 2%, compared to the national average of 51%.
